ALL TURF RACES MUST STAY ON FOR ACTIONI!!!
RACE 1 - #7 – DOUBLE YOU – 8/1 -WP – This gelding only has 3 starts under his belt and the majority of the field have had numerous tries to get their graduation cap. We’re not big on Delcan and you can note he’s 0-31, but he can put Double You on the lead from the jump and should be able to SPEED POP them from that point.
RACE 2 - #6 – GEMO RAIN – 4/1 – WP – Nice race last out off the short layoff and this gelding should be much fitter today after that effort and we also want to note he’s worked two times in 12 days and just had a nice breeze 4 days ago, so that’s a good sign he’s very sound and felling his oats!
RACE 3 - #2 – NEW EAGLE – 6/1 – WP – You have to ask yourself, why did they run with the hood last out? If you look at his pp’s, he’s a much better runner without the hood. The last time they took the hood off was on June 5th at Lone Star and he ran a winning race that day.
Look at his 3 previous races with the hood prior to that start, all poor. Let’s hope we’re seeing the form right and we can cash with him at a nice price this afternoon. His post is much better today, especially with the rail out at 26’!!
RACE 4 - #6 – CHEROKEE TAKEOVER – 6/1 – WP – Just ran 9 days ago for 25K, and had no chance at all from the break! He was hammered from both sides at the start and then was strictly given a workout race from that point.
We like that Tucker put Pedroza in the irons today and that should result in a much better break as Ped is a very good at getting one out of the gate quick. We also want to note, that Tucker has a fist timer in here #3 and he’s only listed at 9/2 on the ml, he must be working well in the AM for that ML!
RACE 5 - #6 – OKUDAH – 8/1 – WP – He ran big off the 6-month layoff last out and just got a little leg weary down the lane. We’re expecting another big effort right back this afternoon.
RACE 6 - #1 – ACHILLES – 4/1 – WP – Ran a very nice race 1st out as he finished strong down the lane, the jock got into him at the ¼ pole and he never spit the bit and continued to make up ground on the turn and down the lane. He galloped out extremely well!
RACE 7 - #7 – ENTERTAINMENT – 6/1 – WP – We’re expecting a big effort off the bench today. He’s been burning up the track in the mornings and that’s a sign he’s back to his old self and the time off has been good for him. He’s also a lightly raced horse with only 8 career starts and we feel he hasn’t run his best race yet!!
RACE 8 - #8 – BITSY’S CUSTOM C – 8/1 – WP – He should his fondness for this main track in the Big Easy as he won 1st out back in March. He ran ok last out ofF the layoff; we’re expecting a much-improved effort this afternoon as Sam’s brining him right back in the gate off that effort.
RACE 9 - #7 – BEACHCOMBING – 12/1 – WP – This gelding loves these blades under his hooves! As you can note form his pp’s he’s ran over this weed course 4 times with 3 wins and he also excels when there’s a little moisture in the course as he’ll be getting once again today. We see him taking this field gate to wire at a generous price!
RACE 10 - #4 – FLASHY SASSY – 5/1 – WP – This field is beyond BAD and this filly should out break them and then just coast home as it’ll be astonishing if any of these runners can make up and ground down the lane, this looks like a stagger fest to the wire.
